All financial institutions, including PAWN SHOPS and CHECK CASHING SERVICES, are required to determine if any customers are listed on the S.D.N. (Specially Designated Nationals) as published by Office of Foreign Assets Control (O.F.A.C.) of the U. S. Department of the Treasury. Reports of these completed transactions MUST be sent to the agency.
There are data service companies that will check your daily activity at the end of each business day. That means that you may have already made a reportable transaction that will probably result in securing the transaction or even worse, forfeiting the items or cash involved.
